COMPLETED CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS: ONGOING CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS:
HUB CITY TRANSIT

In January 2017, the City of Hattiesburg was devastated with a deadly tornado that ripped through the city. Many buildings were completely destroyed, one of which was the mass transit facility for the city. This project came to fruition, with a start date set for over a year after the tornado ripped through the Hub City. The mission was simply to build a new home for so many of the employees that had been temporarily relocated. The 8 month-long project began with the foundation which was completely removed, and the new 9,000 square foot building was built and completed in nine months. The new Hub City Transit Facility has 3,000 square feet of office space, which includes a drivers lounge with lockers, men and women’s restrooms with showers, a “parts room,” and a concrete safe room for the safety and protection of the employees in the event of any future tornadoes or disasters. The shop now sits on 6,000 square feet and features three bays for city vehicles that allow for them to pull through for maintenance repairs with ease. The shop also includes a new oil pit for all city vehicles oil changes. The city is proud to have their home back for the Hub City Transit!
